after successive but frustrating 0-0 draws against Fulham and West Ham, Liverpool only have 1 pt ahead of Chelsea. and for 1st half Liverpool faces a similar fate against Blackburn, who have not won for 9 games le.

1st half saw Blackburn threaten very well, closest being Pedersen strike which forces Reina to poof it onto the crossbar. and is the same 2 person when Pedersen hit a free kick which forces Reina into a save again.

2nd half saw Liverpool more fluent in controlling and domination. and Alonso had a great chance to break the deadlock in 61st min but Robinson forces a save. few mins ltr, Gerrard almost scored but somehow, Robinson save.
but reward is given at 69th min. Benayoun found Gerrard roaming at the right area. and he immediately release a pass into the penalty box but Kuyt was blocked off. the ball rolled free to Alonso who cheekingly hit a low shot which completely fooled Robinson off. 1-0.
10th min ltr. Benayoun receives the ball and skips past ex-Liverpool player Warnock and hit a fierce shot into the left bottom corner. 2-0

BUT THEN! Liverpool went asleep and in 86th min, they give away a cheap goal. a qucik croner taken from Blackburn and someone crosses it, Santa Cruz with an easy header. 2-1.

but who else have to settle the things for Liverpool every time? Steven Gerrard. Riera found a free El Zhar and latches a through ball. too strong and Robinson clears it. but back to Riera and he passes to Gerrard. with time to look at the open goal, he curls the ball easily and made it 3-1.

we stayed on top still with tht win, 1 pt ahead of Chelsea. and with Hull next at Anfield. will it b another goalless draw at home?
