yesterday was the big race where all the worl was concerning abt, the 1st ever night race held in S'pore. so 8:00pm, the 5 red lights illuminated and the race is go!

great start from Massa, Hamilton tries to cut into the 1st turn, so too is Raikkonen, trying to gain a place but nth happen. the most interesting 1 is Fernando Alonso, who say overtaking is almost impossible, gain 3 places immediately after the 1st 3 turns.

17 laps went and a crash from Nelson Piquet of Renault, safety car is out! woohoo. everybody pitted afterwards except Alonso, who pit juz b4 the crash. and the situation turns. Massa decided to come in to pit when it was meant for Raikkonen. and worse things come when u made a mistake. most likely is the mechanics fault, without seriously looking at the pit lane, he pressed the green button for Massa and he goes, with the fuel nozzle still there!!! and he injured the mechanics. and he caused time lost for Raikkonen. to compound all of this, he was given a drive through penalty for tht wrong timing pit stop.

and all bcoz of this, 1 person who really gain is Hamilton, perfect 1st pit stop, comes out in 8th place when the safety car goes back into pitlane. this is really a sign of a world championship winner.

Nico Rosberg and Robert Kubica soon goes in for a stop/go penalty and this is great news for Alonso, bcoz of the saftety car, he is now P1. he then makes a pit stop, but still comes out of Coulthard and Hamilton. great stuff from the 2 time world champion.
he then build a 16-odd second gap between him and Rosberg and juz withing 9 laps to go, another crash, this time from Adrain Sutil. and it all started with again Massa. he braked too late went into the wall, no damage but when he drive out to the track again, Sutil saw tht and BANG!! crash onto the barrier. Safety car again.

all Alonso build is now gone. we r on for the final showdown.

4 laps left and Ferrari misery day is completed. Raikkonen is within 1s of Timo Glock for the 4th place and he went over the high curb at turn 10. but he over acclerate tht and bang into the wall. Game over. no pts for 4th consecutive races and tht it, say bye bye to yr championship chances.

as Alonso went for the last corner for the last time, he crosses the line to win the 1st Singapore Grand Prix, his 1st of this season and his 20th in his career. Rosberg end in well-deserved 2nd and Hamilton comes 3rd, with Massa didnt score any pts, he has now extended his drivers lead over Massa by 7 pts. 84-77. McLaren also now is the new constructor leader by a mere 1 pt, 135-134.

2 weeks from now we head to Japanese Grand Prix, who will there?
